TereScope® TS5000 - FastE / GigE up to 5500 meters

Going the Farthest with Modular Design...

The carrier class TereScope® 5000 provides long distance high-speed Free Space Optics (FSO) connectivity. Operating at data rates of 1 Mbps to 1 Gigabit, TereScope® 5000 systems are deployable rapidly, providing long distances FSO optical wireless connectivity.

TereScope® 5000 uses multiple transmit aperture technology (3 transmitters) to ensure high performance in adverse weather conditions. The receiver of the long-range TereScope® 5000 has an 8” diameter to overcome scintillation and other atmospheric noises in hot or cold weather.

The TS5000 is optionally available with dual redundant power supplies, which noticeably improves the MTBF (available in TS5000/100-F, TS5000/155, TS5000/155-F, TS5000/G and TS5000/G-F models). When one of the power supplies breaks down, the other one continues to operate normally and transparently. The power supply modularity allows for replacing the faulty power supply without interrupting the normal operation of the link.

The TS5000/100-F is designed specifically for 100BaseTX applications, and features a copper RJ45 interface, for both the main interface and redundant FUSION output. For this model the Fusion feature is standard. This model in the low voltage version (V3) has a High Power over Ethernet (PoE, 30W) configuration.

The TS5000 series also has a modular interface, i.e. the transceiver can be easily modified in the field from multimode to single mode or from 850 mm to 1300 mm. (available in TS5000/155, TS5000/155-F, TS5000/G and TS5000/G-F models).

An additional advantage of the transceiver modularity is the possibility to add the Fusion option in the field in case this option has not been previously purchased.

The TS5000 has four models:

• TS5000/ETH - This 3-Beam link supports 10Mbps Ethernet at extended distances of up to 6700 meters.
   
• TS5000/FET/F - Supports Full Duplex 100Mbps Fast Ethernet to 5400 meters, and features PoE and unique Fusion port for auto-failover to low speed/low cost RF redundant path for 100% availability at extended link distances.
  
  
• TS5000/155 - Supports 1-155Mbps via Open Protocol rate adaptive feature up to 5400 meters. Fusion and redundant power supply options available.
  
  
• TS5000/G - Supports 1.25 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet to 3500 meters. Fusion and redundant power supply options available.
