Mount Systems

System Support Solutions has developed a unique set of Installation Kits that include both transceiver mounts in may different configurations, and also several additional items that you will need at the rooftop for a link deployment.

Sometimes we have a hard time conveying the value of these kits and the value they represent during an actual deployment. It really comes down to the fine details of a successful FSO or millimeter microwave project...

-You really need to run a minimum of six fibers for the fiber interface in rooftop transceivers. Less and you will be re-pulling replacement cables for deficient strands.

-So so you need a rooftop J-Box w/bulkhead and patch cables

-You need good mounts, mount attachment hardware, masonry bits, etc.

-A little thing like a dbl female CAT5 coupler and a 2m CAT5 patch for mgt can be a nice touch on the rooftop

-802.3af PoE compliant lightning protection for PoE link CAT5 cable runs can be a real pain to locate in a rush

-A little thing like missing 3-prong 110VAC plugs for LP link PS's can take an hour to run after if you forget them

-Or a correct adaptor to put a LP link on a HD non-pen...costs very little, but a major hassle if missing on the day of installation.

-Or a QuickInstall sheet for the active track FSO links (Canon/LightPointe) which all require a specific initialization sequence.

-Or a QuickInstall for Bridgewave's AES encryption implementation

...etc etc etc

And the list is a little different for each brand, and even each model for the same mfg.

The unique thing we provide is hands-on experience with all the brands, all the models, and so have a 100% accurate history in including all of the items required at the rooftop. And we try to not charge so terribly much for the kit, so that you
will identify it as an intangible value add from us. Worth significantly more to you in time and costs than what we charge for it.

"The SSS Installation Kit was a lifesaver. The nearest Wal-Mart was over two hours away, a 4 hour round trip, and even the simplest missing part would cost a extra day's work. SSS included everything required for the install, down to the nuts and bolts, jumper cables, adapters, even the correct AC plug. MRV and Canon Installation Kits are $1,695 and include two of any style mount up to 34" overall length (Over 34" add $495 each) plus a complete rooftop fiber kit for both sides including fiber J-Boxes, patch cables, liquitite conduit with correct size couplings, fiber bulkheads, CAT5 couplers, etc.

LightPointe links now all include a Universal Mount Kit with link, so the Installation Kit ($595) only includes the rooftop fiber kit for both sides including fiber J-Boxes, patch cables, liquitite conduit with correct size couplings, fiber bulkheads, CAT5 couplers, etc.
