Minnesota Nice is Our Commitment

RapidRespond 24x7 On-site support agreement

Failed link

Following deployment of a link, you have three choices for ongoing support:

  • Self-maintain (could mean waiting the 2-4 weeks it takes for the return of a depot repaired link)
  • Purchase a NBD (next business day) warranty enhancement underwritten by the manufacturer
  • Purchase a RapidRespond 24x7 On-site Support Agreement from System Support Solutions

Each has benefits and drawbacks:

  • Self-maintain is the least cost unless you have a link failure, in which case it immediately becomes the most cost. You not only incur the cost of repair or replacement of the failed unit, but also the cost of shipping, down time, and labor whether your own or purchased T&M services.

  • Manufacturer NBD warranties are better in that they at least assure availability of a replacement in a timely fashion. However, you take on the full responsibility of initial diagnostics, initial removal and replacement of the transceiver, and usually also removal of the provided replacement once your original transceiver is returned.

  • A RapidRespond 24x7 On-site Support Agreement from SystemSupportSolutions means you have a 24 hour phone number to call in the event of trouble, and provides on-site problem diagnostics and access to a hot spare transceiver including immediate deployment of the replacement transceiver by us. The really good news is that it costs surprising little more to have on-site services included in your coverage vs. manufacturer NBD hardware only coverage.
